ArchiBridge

Talk to your Archicad project. ArchiBridge connects Claude and ChatGPT to the Archicad running on your PC, through Archicad's JSON API and the open-source Tapir add-on.

Free, available nowFor ArchicadMIT license

Install it

Option A: one prompt. In Claude Desktop, open the Code tab (Claude Pro or higher), then paste:
Install ArchiBridge to connect Claude to my Archicad: https://github.com/ayoubmep/archibridge-mcp
Follow INSTALL.md step by step, then tell me what to do next.
Option B: one command. Works on the free plan. Open PowerShell, not as administrator, and paste:
irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ayoubmep/archibridge-mcp/main/install.ps1 | iex

Then

  1. Restart Archicad and open a project.
  2. Quit your AI app completely and open it again. For Claude Desktop, right-click the Claude icon near the clock, then Quit.
  3. Ask one of the questions below and compare the answer with what you see.

What you get

  • The AI reads your open project: stories, elements, properties, quantities, attributes and layouts.
  • It changes the project through 426 Tapir commands, from walls, slabs and roofs to zones and MEP routes. Your AI app asks you before each change.
  • It sees the result with pictures of the 3D and 2D windows.
  • Reads and changes are separate tools, and risky commands such as closing a project or Teamwork send are refused by default.
  • Skills give the AI a working method and a read-only MEP review: open ports, elements outside a system, clashes.

Prompts to try first

  • "Read the archibridge skill, then describe my open Archicad project."
  • "List the stories and count the elements of each type."
  • "Select all the doors on this story and tell me their sizes."
  • "Review my MEP model with the archicad-mep-review skill."

Tested with Archicad 29.0.0 (build 3000, INT) and Tapir 1.7.3 on Windows 11: install, reading a project, creating walls, plan and 3D pictures, and undo. A single Ctrl+Z undid a whole wall-creation call. Other Archicad versions, other languages and the MEP review have not been tested yet.

Everything stays on your PC: the server only talks to Archicad on 127.0.0.1. What the AI reads from your project is sent to the AI provider you use, so try it on a copy first.
