BIMBridge
Talk to your Revit model. BIMBridge connects Claude and ChatGPT to Revit through the MCP server built into pyRevit 7. One prompt installs everything.
Free, available nowFor RevitMIT license
Install it
Option A: one prompt. In Claude Desktop, open the Code tab (Claude Pro or higher), then paste:
Install BIMBridge to connect Claude to my Revit: https://github.com/kenpro0/bimbridge-mcp
Follow INSTALL.md step by step, then tell me what to do next.Option B: one command. Works on the free plan. Open PowerShell, not as administrator, and paste:

- Restart Revit and open a project.
- Quit your AI app completely and open it again. For Claude Desktop, right-click the Claude icon near the clock, then Quit.
- Ask one of the questions below and compare the answer with what you see.
What you get
- The AI reads your open model: levels, elements, parameters, views and selection.
- It changes the model with scripts that run inside Revit, and only after you approve them in Revit with Keep or Discard.
- Every change you keep undoes with a single Ctrl+Z.
- It checks its own work with captures of your views.
- BIMBridge skills give the AI a working method (metric units, step-by-step builds, visual checks) and an MEP review: open connectors, networks, insulation, slopes and circuits.
Prompts to try first
- "List the levels in my model with their elevations."
- "Which ducts on Level 02 have no insulation?"
- "Count the elements in the active view by category."
- "Find mechanical equipment with a duplicate Mark value."
The bridge between the AI and Revit is the official MCP server that ships with pyRevit (pyRevitLabs). BIMBridge adds the one-prompt install, the configuration of your AI apps, the skills and the documentation.
Use it on a copy of a project first. What the AI reads from your model (names, parameters, view captures) is sent to the AI provider you use, so check your project’s confidentiality rules before using it on client work.
